Pin-Tastic DIY's-Update.

Hey Sassy Cats!

Ever since I can remember i've always been a creative person. I love being able to create something out of nothing. Probably why I started this blog. It's a creative challenge that I will take on gladly.

Each week I will have a ::web series:: where I will recreate a fun Pinterest Inspired DIY.  These DIY's might take on a theme depending on the time of year or it just might be something that is completely random. Regardless it will be done in true SassyClassy form.. completely fabulous and with complete directions!

I was entertaining the idea of recording my DIY's instead of just adding pictures to the blog just because I'm a visual learner and given the times, everything can be found on YouTube. I just ordered a tripod for my lovely Nikon so I can work and record without anyone being home to help.  I don't know exactly when I'm going to start, but...

All in All :

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS! & I CANNOT WAIT TO START <3

Till next time,

Our Little Family

Hey Sassy Cats!

This will most likely be my F A V O R I T E post only because it involves 4 things.

1.Honey Nut Cheerios
2.Cinnamon
3. Sunny Skies
4.My Love; Chris

!!STOP!! *Watch the Cuteness Overload*

I mentioned my fur babies on my Previous Post and I received some emails. Some of you Sassers wanted to know a little more about them. I've compressed some of the questions together that were sent to me and will answer them based on my experiences.

Ask away:

1. The all time favorite question people like to ask is Do they stink?

As much as I want to say No, it all is based on how sensitive your nose is. When we got Honey Nut, we were expecting to Febreeze the home at least every 30 mins based on what everyone online was saying. In all actuality it was not all that bad. We learned very quickly that we C A N N O T bathe him as often as we were 1) he hated it and 2) every time we washed him he'd be wiped clean of his oils which his body would reproduce more of. It got to the point where we had to not wash him for a couple of months because my baby was turning ORANGE. Simply put, keep the liter and cage clean. Change out the sleeping blankets (PS- they are sensitive to smells so be careful what you wash them in) and all will be well!

2.What do they eat?

Like any animals, they have their own food pellets that is sold. I like to give my ferrets the Marshall Brand food which is Petrified Chicken Pellets.  Now Cinny and Honey have imprinted on that food so they will not eat any other brand. My tip to you, if it matters, is to introduce your ferret to more than one food brand. It keeps them well-rounded :)

Also, its not in me to do this B U T I have seen people feed their ferrets raw chicken, baby chickens and rabbit meat. Which seems fitting since they are carnivores and will hunt their dinner out in the wild. I just personally cannot find it in me to see my babies eat a baby chick. If you can, more power to you.!.

3. How do we know a ferret is for us?

So when it came time to actually sit down and think about what the family pet will be, Chris and I were leaning towards a cat. We were looking for an animal that would fit our lifestyle.

The Bill:

a. a quiet apartment animal
b.very minimal care needs
c.could possibly entertain themselves while we were at work
d.was not as active as a dog would be

It wasn't until we were really ready to welcome our new pet that I thought of the ferret that i had when i was younger. He totally fit the The Bill

I like to plan, so with that comes an endless about researching. I read blogs, watched YouTube videos, chatted with some of my friends who owned one and stalked the pet stores.

Back to the question, we knew that a ferret was just right for us because he was everything we were looking for. For heaven's sake they sleep from 10-14 hours a day!! THAT'S WONDERFUL! Mind you they are nocturnal so for a while, we'd hear bumps and things moving around at 2 am. Actually ,it's 2 am right now and he's wide awake! So just be prepared for that.

4) Can you name some of their habits?

Now after all that beauty sleep these babies are ready to PLAY! They have little spurts of energy through out the day. Be ready to get down on the floor and hiss at them, run around like a crazy mad person because they like to chase you and WATCH YOUR TOES! They don't call them Carpet Sharks for no reason! Speaking of >>Click here to see their Instagram<< You'll get why I inserted that there when you check it out. =P

Always have food and clean water for them to enjoy at their leisure. They eat on their own time so no need to worry about feeding them throughout the day. BINGO!

They need toys that are "parent approved" so they don't go around your house trying to dig a whole into the bottom of your couch!! In the video above you saw a tunnel, they LOVE that tunnel. Lots of ferret toys and other things can be found here. They are diggers and burrowers in the wild so anything that can emulate that is great. We love to give them a big tub of plastic balls or ping pong balls, a tub of rice or soil (at your discretion) to dig, even boxes so they can hide in.

Overall they are fun, loving animals that are pretty much self sufficient. Do not get this confused, they still need you in all shapes and forms. Once they are attached to you, you are their very best friend. These creatures will love you till the very end and it's your job to make sure that they are safe, healthy and very well cared for. In other words, just because it seems as though they can take care of themselves, surely they cannot.

Phew! That was a lot. I just love ferrets and can talk about them forever. Mind you I'm no expert but experience with these lovely animals can be earned. It just takes time and patience. Any who, If you still have any questions please don't hesitate to comment below and ask! We love our Ferret Family & hopefully y'all will have one of your own too!

21 Questions: What do we have in common?

Hey Sassy Cats,

WELCOME TO MY FIRST BLOG!!

I feel this intense need to give Y O U a great big virtual hug.. I'm so glad you're here. Theirs so much to talk about but I think that for now you guys should get to know me! Kind of like an Ice breaker, but more one-sided. So let's get started : )

There was a tag running around YouTube lately that I thought might be a nice way to get this going..

Here we go....

1. Are you named after anyone?

If I'm not mistaken my father loved the name Natasha, who at the time, was a famous model. (so they tell me)

2. When was the last time you cried?

For as long as I can remember I've been sensitive to certain things. Sad commercials, senior citizens, animals, marriage proposals, soldiers come back home and leaving Disney after a nice vacation. So the last time I cried had to be yesterday while i was watching YouTube. I really don't know why i do it to myself but i love watching the surprise wedding proposals!

3. Do you have any kids?

I have 2 fur babies. Honey Nut Cheerios & Cinny (think Sin-E) Mami. My lovely ferrets.

Don't let this fool you, they are Double Trouble!

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend to yourself?

Of course!! But I'd make sure not to judge a book by its cover. Sometimes i have a hard exterior but really i have a soft, creamy center : )

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot ?

Not with people who don't know me, i don't want to come off as unsociable

Just typing it gives me a stomach ache!

7. What's your favorite cereal ?

It's a tie between Reese's Puff and Fruity Pebbles

I love to people watch. So the very first thing I'd notice is how they treat others. I watch their mannerism and the way they carry themselves.
