Linkin Park & 30 Seconds to Mars Concert

Hey Sassy Cats,

*Linkin Park & 30 Seconds to Mars*

The first weekend after I go back to school and I am surely appreciating them so much more. I forgot how valuable the weekends were since I had about 3 months off from work. Needless to say I had a great Friday!

We had a countdown going for this concert for about 3 weeks!

The Line Up

AFI- Meh :/
30 Seconds to Mars- AMAZING

A N D...

L I N K I N  P A R K

AFI:
So in my honest opinion AFI was not that great. Then again, I knew none of their songs. I've heard Miss. Murder but thats about it. I'm sure for some folks they were great, but for me, it wasn't something to write home about.

30 Seconds to Mars:

As you all know, Jared Leto is the lead singer of the band. Can I just say he is drop dead gorgeous?!? It's one thing to see these musicians and actors on TV but in person it's just different.

 BACK TO THE TOPIC...

They put on a very high energy performance. They had their logos on a bunch of large flags and these huge balloons that destroyed my boyfriends face and my head. We just don't pay attention. LOL No their was so much going on we didn't even know where to look & B A M, We got Hit. I couldn't stop laughing!

Direct Quotes:

Tink: "Oh Watch OUT!!!"

Chris turns around stares at the balloon point blank as it comes directly towards his face were it squished his glasses into his nose. Then the balloon goes 90 degrees vertical in the air. Chris then decided to avenge his glasses and "KOBE'S" as in Kobe Bryant, that evil green balloon pictured below down further into the crowd below us where it met it's doom.

Mean Ole Green Balloon!

In the video above, the intro was a snippet of the great show 30 Seconds put on, equipped with a blast of confetti and all!

Now.. Linkin Park. I cannot tell a lie. I love the boys to death, B U T some things have to be mentioned.

1. After 30 Seconds were done we waited for what felt like 5 hours! We sat there for about an hour and a half, with great company, but still.

2. Throughout the actual concert they stopped between 1-3 songs because of what I'm sure was technical difficulties. We heard them say " I need my other guitar" mid song. The pause kind of deflated the hype and it took a little while to get the mood right again.

3. Although this is STRICTLY my opinion, most of the songs they played were their newer songs that doesn't even sound like it was in their genre. The crowd was just standing around till the song was over hoping they'd just stick to the KICKASS songs that were on Hybrid Theory & Meteora.

Even with the hiccups, I love this group. They've managed to stand the test of time. The amphitheater was packed to the BRIM with people.!. I have never enjoyed a concert as much as this one. The energy was high, the songs we knew were on point, and the company was awesome.

I do admit I was petrified at one point in the show due to the fact that their was about 2-3 different sections of the lawn moshing and i just "didn't want to lose my shoe". ; P
I have to put this in here because I applaud his bravery (or stupidity). Their was this little tiny guy, shorter than me, drunk as all hell and sweating buckets jumping around with men twice his size. I was so sure that he was going to pass out from severe dehydration or being punched in the face!

IN CLOSING..

I'd like to give a shout out to Brian, Tink, Tai & this guy who we lovingly named Seth & his group of friends. {{You'll understand why we named him that when you see the picture}}

This is "Seth", look like someone familiar??

It was a great night with some awesome people who will share this memory with me forever and ever <3
